In this TechTuesday edition, we will be discussing the Houzz app.
A hugely popular (and award-winning) app for homeowners is Houzz. They have been around for more than a decade. Houzz is both an app for your phone or tablet, and a website.
According to their website, Houzz is "A place to browse and save beautiful home photos. A place to find the right design and construction professionals. A place to connect with others who have been there too."
Houzz seeks to provide inspiration and shopping. One way they do this is through tons of articles posted by users sharing what they did and how they did it. In addition, a function in the app enables the user to snap a photo of a room in their home, then virtually place a product they're interested in purchasing in the room to see how it looks, etc. If they like it, they can just click and buy!
Need a professional? Houzz has you covered in that area, as well. They provide a searchable database of professionals to work with on every kind of home project. In addition, they have many, many cost guides so users can gather information, plan ahead, and ensure they're not overpaying.
If you're a new homeowner ready to decorate or about to embark on a renovation, Houzz might just have insights to help.
